Comunidad Primero is mutual aid
We are a multiracial, grassroots community collective created by neighbors, for neighbors. Our mission is to distribute a variety of free, fresh produce in the Bushwick and Ridgewood neighborhoods to address community need, prioritizing seniors, people with disabilities, undocumented immigrants, and low-income families.
We offer many different programs for our neighbors.

How we help

Thanks to our donors and supporters, we stockpile supplies, including fresh and hot food, clothing, and essential items. We distribute them to our neighbors each month.

Summer in New York is hot and dangerous if you don't have resources. We collect and distribute air conditioners to ensure everyone stays cool.

We collect and distribute toys during the winter break, because all children deserve to enjoy them.

The community's needs change, and so do we. We organize and offer what the community needs at any given time.
We were founded in 2023 by two migrant women who knew that with community, no one has to start from 0.
